Animals Needing a Good Home
Baby Blue wants to come home with YOU
Blue is a blue tick hound, about 2-5 years old.  He is a stray
and has been taken in by some kind-hearted women on a
temporary basis, but they can't keep him, so he must find a
new home soon!   Blue is a loveable and easy going dog.   He is
blind in his right eye and he is a wee bit hard of hearing,  He's
been neutered, and is in generally good shape.   He is very
sweet and gets along well with other dogs, and even with cats!
To find out more about Blue, call Sandy Butler 832-401-6911
or Audrey Dern  832-401-6912.

Kitty's mom travels too much
'Kitty' is about 2 years old. Has all her shots, declawed and
very affectionate. She also plays fetch! She's very adaptable
and very sweet.  She's truly a dream kitty, but her mom is
just traveling too much (for work) to give her the kind of love
she deserves.  For more info, contact
Amber at

Juanita wants to give you amor!
This beautiful 2 year old cat sort of adopted the parents of a
friend.  And while they have been taking care of her for 4
months, they never meant it to be a long term relationship.
And since they are about to begin their summer travels, they
really need to find a permanent home for Juanita.  She's in
good health and has all her shots.  For more info, contact Jess
at 832-524-4243.

Skeeter tried to adopt a home that already has 2
dogs
Please helpfind Skeeter a good home.  He came bounding out
of a bunch of mesquite to try adopt a farm family, but
unfortunately they already have two dogs and don't want
another.  He is an  adorable lab mix maybe four months old.
Great disposition.  If you know of anyone thinking about
getting a dog please have them call Rene at 713-582-7627.

Jacob and Mitzi were abandoned on a busy street
Wouldn't it be nice if Jacob and Mitzie could call CPS and say,
"We didn't do anything!  We thought we were having a nice
ride in the car, then our human stopped the car.  We wondered
what was up, but we never thought we were going to be
dumped out on a busy street and then watch the only family
we had drive away.  We tried really hard to catch the car, but
we couldn't.  We need help!"

Since there is no DPS, these sweet dogs are in trouble.  A vet
tech is trying to find them a home before they come to the
bad fork in the road.  Can you help?  Contact Theresa at
713.861.6700.

Rosie needs to be the only pet in your family
Rosie's history shows that she is a sweet, obedient and loving
companion. (And P .J. says she is the sweetest ever–if you sit
down with her on the floor she wants to get on your lap!)  She
responds best to gentle, firm leadership and praise/reward
training techniques. Rosie is sensitive, and she gets her
feelings hurt very easily, so a stern look or command is all
that is necessary when scolding. Apparently, the breeder who
had Rosie the first ten months of her life may have used
physical force and therefore she if uneasy around strange
men.  Rosie needs love, patience and a little time to trust you
in order to learn you love her and won't hurt her.

Rosie has an assertive personality.  If she is off-leash at the
dog park, she thinks she needs to boss the other dogs around,
and she will dominate any dogs who challenge her family or her.
So, Rosie needs to be an only dog, and she says No Cats!
Contact PJ if you are interested in learning more about Rosie.
Single women?  No one will bother you if Rosie is with you!
Pass on to anyone who loves the giant breeds!!

Micki isn't crazy about men
Micki is a friendly young pit mix with jet black hair.  He’s
about 1 ½ years, 40 lbs and slender. He’s completed basic
obedience classes and is a fast and enthusiastic learner.  He’s
very food motivated, high energy and loves to run and play.  He
can do endless rounds of fetching tennis balls!  Micki does
appear to have issues with men that he meets.  He is a bit
fearful of them and will bark and has snapped at a couple.  He
does, however, get along fine with the men who work at the
kennel where he lives.  He also needs to gain skills in
interacting with other dogs as he thinks humping is the way to
go.  He’ll do best in a ladies-only home and will benefit from
strong, assertive human leadership.  He’s very loving to the
folks he knows.  If you are interested in Micki, please contact:

Simone Needs a Male Free Home
MEOW, my name is Simone.  I am about 2 years old and up
until recently I had a home, but I don’t think it was a very
good one.  You see, I was adopted when I was a baby from
Friends for Life (those are those wonderful folks who save
animals like me) and I don’t remember much of what happened
up until recently when I found myself at some place called
BARC.  Now WHY would anyone send a kitty to a place named
“BARC”.  It was so loud and scary there and I was so afraid
and lonely.  The people at that place were afraid of me so they
didn’t even feed me.  I heard the man who left me there me
say he adopted me from FFL and I don’t know why he didn’t
take me back there, but someone at BARC called them and
they came to get me.  By that time I was so terrified that I
didn’t want anyone to touch me.  One of their really nice
volunteers calmed me down and took me home.  I got a really
bad cold at the shelter so I was not a fun kitty to be around,
I was mad, scared and didn’t feel good.  It took a couple of
weeks for me to realize that no one was going to hurt me.  I
am very afraid of men now.  I don’t know what that man who
adopted me did to me, but I really need to be in a home with
only women and no children.  I have been in my foster home
since October and I LOVE it here.  My foster Meowmy is so
wonderful, but she needs the space to be able to help other
kitties and I would really prefer to be an only kitty.  She has
other cats and I am just not very fond of them.  I mean, look
at this face, I deserve to be loved and cherished and not have
to share my human with any other kitties, right?  I love to play
and I don’t mind if you pick me up to kiss my face, but I would
rather sit beside you than in your lap.  I like to play with
feathers and mice and I REALLY like to get treats of canned
kitty food – yum yum.  Won’t you open your home and your
heart to a beautiful, sweet, but lonely kitty that needs a home.

Rescue Kitty Needs Your Love
My friend Cidney rescued this kitty, who had been left in an
apartment and only had human attention about once every
week and a half or so.  He is a beautiful guy with long fluffy
hair, and he loves human attention.  He loves to have his belly
rubbed and will let you do that indefinitely.  Unfortunately, he
does not do well with other cats, so Cidney needs to find a
new permanent home for him.

He is the absolute perfect kitty for someone who has no
other cats.  In this situation, he is a well-behaved cat, and you
can carry him around like a baby; he just craves attention.
This picture does not do him justice - he is beautiful.  For
more info, contact
Cidney at 832-276-1400.

Diana Can't Move To Indonesia With Family
Sweet Diana; she’s nearly 6 years old and is a cross between a
Lab and a Basset Hound. She is short like a Basset, very good-
natured and well behaved. Diana’s shots are all up to date,
including Rabies. She also has all the paperwork in order for
the U.K. pet passport.

Diana is a lovely dog, but her owners have been posted to
Indonesia, and apparently it is almost impossible to import a
pet there.  Diana is the perfect family pet and would ideally
be looking for a home where there are children to play with, or
even another dog. She’s used to living with a rambunctious
(nearly) 4-year-old boy and an 18-month-old girl…both, have
been loved soooo much by Diana since birth. She’s not a high-
maintenance dog, and doesn’t need or ask for long walks
everyday. As long as you have a garden she’s happy to bask in
the sun and play with you. Other activities she enjoys are;
canoeing, she sits well in the boat, keeping the garden a
squirrel free zone, meeting and greeting visitors (she doesn’t
jump by the way), cuddles, chewing on the odd bone or dog toy,
oh, and food (especially asparagus, green beans and raw
carrots).

Please contact Josh & Cheryl Turner on 281-920-2437 if
you're interested in meeting Diana and giving her a loving home.

Linus Needs A New Blanket...AND A New Home!
This cute boy was adopted from the Houston SPCA.  He
apparently is now living in a very hectic, noisy household and is
the kind of dog who is happier when he has peace and quiet and
harmony around him.  He is fine with other dogs and seems to
have no real interest in cats.  His humans don't think they can
allot enough time to this dog they adopted and want to
re-home him soon.    He may be happier in a female-only home.
For more info, Contact
Lisa.

These Sister Cats Would Like To Go As A Pair, But
They Will Agree To Separate If Need Be
They are both lovable and are “sisters” having lived in the
same household for the past 6 years.  Both are accustomed to
living with a dog (lovable Brittany Spaniel), but are needing
more attention than their current owner can provide, since
she travels extensively.   We're sure they'd love to find a
new home together, but if that isn't possible, they'll "do the
right thing" and go to separate homes.

Harley is a petite little tomboy who can purr as loud as a
Harley Davidson…She will cuddle with you as you on the couch,
while you sleep she will bundle herself in a ball in the bend of
your arm, and she lets you pick her up to scratch under her
chin.  By looking at her you will be struck by her cute green
eyes and her bandit markings, but don’t let those fool you…she’
s a sweetheart and will show you affection everyday especially
when you call her “Little booty”.  She even talks when she is
out of water or needs food.

Penelope is a petite little princess.  She walks on her tippy
toes (paws) and she sounds like she has heels on! She comes to
say hello every day when you get up and come home, but she
loves, loves, loves to have her furry, soft belly rubbed! She
loves it when you call her “Pretty, pretty princess!” She has
the prettiest blue eyes.  She is Calico and maybe Siamese
with those crossed eyes.  She’s such a sweetheart giving you
lots and lots of love!

If anyone is interested in adopting one or both of these
precious cats, please contact Donna at 832.477.3059.
