EVO Lounge There appears to be a new lesbo bar in town - hallelujah! Evo Lounge is lcoated in midtown, at 2707 B Milam. I haven't checked it out yet, but here is what their website says: Unlike any other club you have seen. EVO Lounge brings in a exclusive crowd and un-matched service, including live DJ entertainment playing a energetic mix of rock, house, retro, disco, dance, and hip hop to satisfy and keep the dance floor moving.

F Bar This is the classiest bar in town, and it has a great patio too (with misters to help cool it down in the summer and a firepit to warm it up in what passes for winter here!). Although it is predominantly men, the staff and the guests are VERY welcoming to lesbians! F Bar is located at 202 Tuam, just a block east of meteor.

Meteor If you are looking for a classy, up-scale environment with a clientele to match, then Meteor is the bar for you! Although it definitely attracts more men than women, us gals of the lebezianic persuasion have always been treated well there (at least in my experience). Meteor is located at 2306 Genesee at the northwest corner of Fairview and Genesee.

Brazos River Bottom (BRB) The BRB is pure country, for sure! This is primarily a men's bar, but you'll see a lot of women on Friday nights, and a scattering of women on Saturdays. Free C&W dance lessons each Thursday night and several times a month on Fridays (check the Social Notes calendar page for the Friday schedule). The bar is clean, well run and attracts a decent clientele. BRB is located at 2400 Brazos Street, behind Spec's Midtown.

We are a GLBT Bar and Lounge/Club with a long standing reputation in the GLBT community. With an occupany of over 160, The Room is an ideal club for hosting your event/party. Guava Lamp Guava Lamp is not a women's bar (indeed, they turned down the opportunity to host Professional Women's Happy Hours) but there are lots of women who enjoy this little hideaway off Waugh close to Allen Parkway. Guava Lamp is a big step up from Chances decor, but not as elegant as meteor. Still, it's a nice enough place to grab a drink. Get more info and directions here.
