Houston Women’s Group

A feminist group for all women (each woman defines her own feminism).

WEEKLY guest speakers, member speakers, and facilitated discussions.

Meets EVERY Sunday at 10:30 am, Room 201 (2nd floor) of the First Unitarian Universalist Church (not affiliated with the Church), located at the corner of Fannin and Southmore.

This is (we’re fairly certain) the country’s oldest, enduring weekly feminist meeting, founded by Iris Greer Sizemore over 3 decades ago. Iris continues to be the group’s guiding light. This is a weekly feminist forum with a different guest speaker each week, for women members. It is a warm welcoming environment, perfect for sharing ideas, networking, and for those who want to develop their public speaking skills.

If you haven’t been to see us for awhile, please come visit. If you’ve never been, you won’t find a more welcoming, intelligent group of dynamic women in Houston, so come meet us!
