Houston Tennis Club

Founded in 1980, The Houston Tennis Club (HTC) is a non-profit organization formed to create a framework for promoting athletic competition in the sport of tennis among its members. HTC does not discriminate or deny membership on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or creed.

HTC has a roster of players ranging from novice to advanced tournament players. It is also home to the annual HOUTEX tennis tournament and charity fundraiser. The HOUTEX tournament is one of the oldest and most prestigious gay tennis tournaments in the United States and is sanctioned by the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Association (GLTA), a member organization of the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
