The Jewish Gay and Lesbian Social Group of Houston This wonderful group of 100+ men and women is sponsored by the Jewish Community Center. Their events range from happy hours, gay bingo, sedar dinner at the synagogue, to the big up scale event... the annual Chanukah Party. Hmmmmm, in the spirit of stereotyping, shouldn't their activities include kvetching, matchmaking and mah jongg? I'll have to speak to them about that! Anyway, this is a strong and very active group, and they welcome new members with open arms. For more info, email Dianna Howard.

Social Group for North Side Glibbits Living outside the loop doesn't mean you have to BE outside the loop! The goal for this group is to create a social network for GLBT folks who live in the North/NW side of Houston or other surrounding areas such as Spring, the Woodlands, Conroe, Kingwood, Champions Forest, Cypress, Copperfield, etc. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to meet up with friends who have the same interests as you, and NOT have to take the long drive into the gayborhood just to hang out and meet with other GLBT folks?
Any ideas, interests, or general stuff you would like to post, feel free... It would be nice to NOT have one-liners like Hello... posted for the group, but let's all get to know each other, and play nice! To join the group, click here

Another Social Group for Women Over 40 Well, apparently the women over 40 are an organizing sort of bunch! Here is yet another group devoted to women in their prime. I wonder if the two groups will have a rumble to see who's best? Oh - you know us lesbians....they'll probably just all get together for a Pot Luck! Anywho, this group says that they focused on singles, and are "not a politically correct group". They get together for house parties, dinners at restaurants, moving watching, and they are rumored to be planning a weekend trip. We would love to have anyone join who would like a great group of professional, single, women. Click here to link or click here to email Sharon Stone.
